Im interested to see what everyone thinks about how things are run in our government here lately. I am a veteran of Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan and gout out of the military about a year ago because of the extensive deployments was taking a toll on my family life. But then we get to the way things are going now and it looks like no end is in sight. I have the utmost respect for the military men and women of this country having been over there and experienced what they are seeing day in and day out. Then they come home like myself with a disability and have trouble getting any assistance from the VA which isnt set up to handle this many people coming home with disabilities, not to mention the trouble of adapting to civilian life.

it's going to hell in a hand basket but we should be able to turn it around, it might have to wait until Jan 2009, but we should be able to pull it together, we always find a way and if we don't maybe I'll go live in Canada or something. As for the VA hopefully they can identify their shortcomings and work on correcting them quickly, they are definitely overwhelmed right now. I still have six years before I'll deal with the VA. Anyway, hang in there and thanks for what you've done.

Well, I am from the USA, and I feel that no one is really in charge anymore when it comes to Issues, and especially Political issues overall, when it comes to Iraq, and the people that choose to fight there. Sometimes I feel that there is no real rhyme to this, and people are being hurt and killed over there that just innocent people trying to live their own lives. And the types of lives that many of them have to lead after this is absurd as well. I feel it is definately time for a change. Just not sure in my lifetime if we will ever see the type that we really need.
