Have you ever had that dream where you are falling down an endless pit?

I used to have these dreams frequently when I was younger. They would scare me each time because it seems like I had to force myself to wake up just so I would never hit the bottom of that pit. A friend told me that if you ever hit the bottom of that pit, you would die. That freaked me out even more. I'm so glad those dreams never came back. Have you had any dreams similar to this? Falling from a sky?
