i had a great conversation with a visual artist friend of mine today. he asked me if i still drew and i told him every once in awhile i still do. then he told me when hes stressed out or emotional in some sense he uses painting, drawing, and coloring as a form of self expression/stress relief and relaxation. But lately i have been using listening to music, playing music, and writing music as my form of self expression/relief. this topic actually makes me want to start drawing more often again. so what do you prefer "music" or "visual art" and why?

For me it is writing and music. Art forms in themselves...but you already knew that. Youre guitar is lovely, hon...and that rose you drew me is SO pretty. i love it, which is why i put it right up on the door. Art is a wonderful form of expression. You can express anything with art...any emotion...in any way you want. You can make it obvious as to what you are feeling or you can make it completely hidden...just for you. Isn't that the most beautiful thing about art?

Isn't that the truth? LOL In all seriousness, though, most art is really art if it expresses true emotion and is not just for the hell of it.

i also love listening to music. but i can't sing and i can't wire a song, so i would prefer Visual Art. when it comes to arts, painting is my first love and that is since i as was in grade school. i really enjoy expressing my ideas through my artworks...

definitely. i want do to both again. i believe any self expression can be considered art even if an outside viewer doesn't understand its purpose or meaning. all that matters is what you see in it.

for me, it will be listening to music. if my alents for visual art was developed, i'd gor for visual art. it is more rewarding and, i have produced something which is expressive of how i feel at the moment that i was doing the piece. this is the good thing about visual art, there is something tangible which comes forth from an otherwise inconceivable feeling.

awesome. i also find myself being lost into mixing music and recording. i like the satisfaction of the final product put all together and done.
