I'm a punctual person and I think punctuality is a good life attitude. It's polite to be punctual when you have a date with others. If the trip to the date place is about one-hour's distance, you should set out fifteen minutes in advance.I like punctuality and I hate waiting for guys who are late.

exactly! meeting the target time is already an effort, which sometimes may not be a fun ride. not to mention waiting, especially when it is unnecessary. people who can't meet the time should therefore arrange their time properly to avoid bad timing......thank you Simplejoy!!

I try my best to always be on time, if not much earlier..I always allow enough time to get to a place just in case there are problems with traffic etc. I cannot be late for appointments if I can help it as I feel it is totally out of my character and always like to keep the best of manners with every one, be they family, friends, business associates or other acquaintances..

(hi general Yan!!!! I'm happy to see you here in this topic...lol..) yeah! me too. I always try to be earlier on appointments no matter what kind of appointment is that. but sadly, some friends are otherwise. they keep you waiting when they are the ones who fixed the time. i wonder why nobody really bother to appreciate punctuality when it is considered very important. i guess it's ignorance..

Yes, I am a punctual person. In fact, everybody expects me to show up 15 minutes early for everything. If I am not early and just show up on time, people will tease me and say I am late. I can not understand why people can't be on time. It is a pet peeve of mine. Especially if there is a group of us waiting on one late person.

i know this situation. it's very irritating when others tease you but when you tease them, they get angry. i think just be on time for anything and just ignore the teasing, some people are just looking for attention you get which they don't. :)

I'm a VERY punctual person. I'm always on time and I expect people to be the same way. Unfortunately, most people I know follow there own time and it frusturates me to NO END. 7:30 means 7:25 in my book but others think it means 8:00. LOL

yes. this is a very unhealthy attitude for a person's reputation. "on the way" is he most common phrase which is very irritating when in not proper use or when they don't really mean it. when they're late, they drag you along. in the end, the both of you 'miss' the bus when you're not supposed to.

Punctuality is like a sickness with me, I actually feel sick if I am going to be late, most people expect me to show up early as I always allow for anything to go wrong, and it doesn't matter what I do to loosen up I can't, I am always early.

as long as we are aware of this 'being late' thing, there are always room for improvement. people who don't care to change or improve will loose a lot and will be left behind. so, let us not be left behind. thank you Lilaclady.

I am extremely punctual. I know people who are not, and it drives me nuts. I'm glad my fiance is as punctual as I am. If it was not that way, we'd drive eachother nuts!!! My Aunt, on the other hand, is late for everything. If dinner is at 5:30 we tell her it's at 4:30, so she will arrive on time. Once we were to be at someone's house at a certain time, and she was to drive me there. When I knew she was late, I left without her, arriving there ON TIME in a taxi!!!!

congratulations!!!! 1st of all - your issue has a lot in similarities with mine too...lol.. i would normally do exactly what you did, like fixing a much earlier time with a "late" type of person..lol.. 2ndly - you just matched the record of my highest number of responses (14 of them = topic is "water or electricity"). not much but enough to keep me happy after thinking that it'll never be broken for a long time..lol... Thanks danishcanadian.... (my deep condolence to Chris Benoit's family and all Canadians, WWE superstar- one of my favourites")
