Any recommendations at the beginning of building a house?

A small point but it will save agro later.
Get a good idea of where your furniture is going in each room and then work out where to put your power sockets, TV outlets and phone jacks.

Just make sure you have everything in the house that you want or need coz things cant be changed once it's built, well not without a lot of time & money!
Make sure you have enough space for all your things & when you do the colours & carpets, make sure you're 100% happy with everything coz it'd suck to have to make changes when you're moving in!
I'd also recommend having an extra bedroom or games room just because if you have kids, they kind of need a place of their own for all their toys & stuff to be!
