Respect of your elders

Do you think that young people today respect their elders? I certainly don't and it seems to get less so every year. I have seen plenty of young people today treat elders with disrpect and total disregard. I despaire sometimes with the state of our youth.

I don't think the young people today have much respect for the elderly, I think it is a very ME world these days, there is no compassion, I often here people say the youth of today should do a stint at army training to make them more responsible, I don't believe teaching the young to kill is good but I think a stint in working in a Nursing Home and getting to learn compassion for the beautiful old souls of our world just might spark that compassion.

Actually I think some compulsory military training would be good from a discipline aspect. I agree we shouldn't teach people to kill but we can teach them discipline.
