why people dream to be rich?

my mind question this, there are lots of wealthy people that are not living in a happy/ joyful life they wanted, why? is this enough to convince others not to become rich?

Not all people want to become rich to be happy. They want to become rich to have power, or be famous, to be able to buy whatever they want to and to have security for themselves and maybe their families.
