Money shouldn't be an object when it comes to drug treatment centers

Many of the drug treatment centers available now seem to cost fortune. Many insurance companies won't cover in-patient treatment, and a lot of drug abusers don't have health insurance. Therefore, it seems that many drug rehab centers cater to those who make a lot of money, and only a fraction of drug abusers who need help are getting it.

I've got to agree. I have a friend who is on the "program" and they ask $100 per week, sometimes more, for treatment. It's horrific what they ask for from hard-working people. Even when my friend was not working, they demanded payment. I think the government should step up and foot the bill for people who are unemployed and in treatment. How can one live on the pittance they pay for the unemployment and pay the bills too? Sometimes I think our system need a complete overhaul. This sort of thing does not happen in Holland and Sweden, where the treatments are free to anyone who needs them.
