I recently bought a ferret, its a boy. I couldn't help myself in the pet store just so cute, and cuddly. He's only 8 weeks old, and a handfull. I was wondering what kinds of things do ferrets like to have, to play with i mean? Is there anything special I need to know about having one, bathing, eating, diet, etc? Someone please help me find out some interesting things about pooky my ferret.

I've never owned a ferret but I had some friends that did and I remember a favorite play thing was tunnels, or just a leg of an old pair of jeans that they could crawl through, or into to hide. They liked climbing into the ones on people, too. :) There's a whole bunch of resources available on http://www.ferretcentral.org/ if you're interested, too.

They don't really need any special care as such except the females when they come into season and have to be mated. They will live on a basic diet of bread and milk but should really get roughage every so often. They will also eat dog food and like liver. There is normally no need to bathe them but you can do if needed and it shouldn't do any harm.Bedding should be hay or straw if possible.Hope this helps.
