what must a parent do when his child is starting to be coming a bad boy? it's really hard to be a parent. you do everything for your child and yet they see you as an enemy. there is only one thing a parent wants for his child and that is a good future. so we do everything for them like take them to a good school, provide care , love, guidance to the point of neglecting your own well being. you discipline them, teach them things they need to learn. punish them if need be. and they thought we like getting angry. it pains me whenever i have to punish my child for his wrong doing but that is one way for them to learn. and yet it doesn't seem to be working. parents are like broken records that keeps on playing the same over and over again. so what can a parent do when his child turns bad?

I think talk, discuss, talk and discuss with children over and over again. That's what I do with my young age children, teenager niece and nephew. Repeatitive talk and discuss. Punishment for them is usually do more assessment and time-out. When they are going toward the age of teenager, treat them as a friends is always better than mom.

yes, we're doing that, too. talk, discuss, talk, discuss. an endless round of talking and discussions. i just pray that as they say, later on we will see the fruits of our labor.

That depends on a number of things. How old the child is, for one. My oldest is two, and I put her in time outs, and I spank also, when neccesary. For an older child, it would just depend on the situation. Grounding would probalby be one. Not allowing them to talk on the phone to friends, girlfriends, boyfriends. I don't know from experiance, I'm just assuming what would be done.

my son is 14 and yes we've tried grounding. we don't spank him anymore because we think he's old for that and it doesn't seem to be working.
