Did anyone watch Watase Yuu's Fushigi Yuugi? I was never a fan of romantic stories but the moment I saw the first episode of Fushigi Yuugi, I found myself looking forward to watching every episode every week. I really was addicted to it and even spent a lot of money getting any item that has Fushigi Yuugi in it. The animation is good, although there are episodes wherein you can clearly tell that some other animator drew the characters. But overall, it is a really nice anime. Anyone else thinks the same or otherwise?

I know what you mean! Whenever I watch FY, I feel as if I really was part of the story. I cried a lot during the whole duration of the anime ^_^

I loved fushigi yuugi before. I even collected some FY stuffs. I was so captured by the mythological aspect of the story. but then, during the few last chapters, I lost interest coz the focus of the story remained on miaka and tamahome. the mythological aspect was forgotten and even some parts of it and some characters were left hanging. it was like miaka and tamahome became the center of the world when in fact they weren't. ^__^

yeah i know. but there were other characters too! other characters which ms.watase yu gave some focus somewhere in the series but wasnt given a conclusion so it was kinda hanging. but if you asked me for an example, i'd probably wont have an answer coz i have forgotten about it. LOL i just remember this was my reaction after the series was finished. ^__^

Well that's true. Especially in the second OVA where each of the seven warriors had an episode dedicated to them and the life they had and left behind..

I've watched it too. It's okay, nice art and it has lots of funny moments, as well as really touching scenes. But my girlfriend rabidly loves it.

That's because it's really nice.. Something like a girl's dream life, if you ask me. I think most girls would love a Tamahome or a Hotohori in their lives ^_^

I agree but I guess its really hard to find people like them. It may seem impossible but I know that there are very few people like Hotohori. I believe people like Tamahome are very rare.
