I eat exotic foods. The Philippines is rich with exotic foods. There's snails cooked in coconut milk. Fried frog legs. Monitor lizard (bayawak) meat and eggs cooked adobo-style. There's balut (boiled duck eggs nearing hatching) and isaw (pig or chicken small intestines either fried or barbequed). There are other exotic food here but I don't eat them like Adidas (barbequed chicken feet), Betamax (barbequed coagulated pig's blood) and day-old (deep-friend day-old duck chicks).

I also forgot to add that we have a specialty here called "Kilawin". Raw fish cubes are placed in a bowl, add peppers, ginger, onion and vinegar and eat! Live shellfish taken out of their shells can be used too...and they're yummy although slimy. My uncle told me that they eat baby octopi kilawin-style. Some Filipinos also like cooking goat meat and carabao meat. I've tasted both and I didn't like goat meat. Carabao meat tastes like beef, only tougher. Dogs and mice are also a delicacy here ^_^ I don't eat them though..

The only exotic foods I've eaten are snails/escargot, octopus, and caviar.

Being quite an adventurous type when it comes to food, when I was in Paris, I tried garlic snails in a restaurant, and quite enjoyed them. They're a bit like a slightly meatier version of a portobello mushroom. So very pleasant, if a little difficult to get out of the shell!

Hi, satanshiori. I had frogs, snails before, but I never tried beetle and lizard yet. I don't think frogs and snails are very good to eat, but you know, just to try it once, not a big deal. But for snake adn lizards, I have to say that's too scary for me.

thats really gross lol. Do you? A friend of mine went to a store somewhere and they came back with all these differnt kind of jerkies. There was alligator, snake and some other odds n' ends. They actually tasted pretty good btu I dont think I knew it was odd animals like that when I tried it. When I was younger my dad made stew with ostrich meat too! I dotn remember how that went though!
