Very nice quote. However, don't you think that this particular quote is not truly about loving the other, but primarily loving one's self? If you'll carefully analyze this quote, I feel that you'll readily see that the love referred to is not essentially directed to the other person but to the same person who's supposed to give that love. Curiously, this quote expresses that the person saying this quote loves the other person not because of who that particular person is. In other words, it seems that such person loves the other not because of the other's distinct personality, traits, and/or character, but because the person to be loved makes the person giving the love who he/she is, when he/she is with the other person. Nevertheless, it goes without saying that self-love is not a bad thing.
