Just wanted to collect some opinions on what you think about Jr leaving DEI. Personally, I think it will be a great move on his part. He just doesnt look or seem happy anymore with them. Hes there, hes not usually negative but he just doesnt seem like he has the drive to race with them anymore. I watched is conference, it was rather interesting. What did you all think of his conference? I hope he succeeds with someone else, he will be more confident and willing that way!

He is leaving because his step-mom won't give him the company. :( That sounds a little childish to me, as I have had to work for everything I have... but on the other hand, he will now have to work for a living. Working for DEI he didn't have to worry about losing his ride, so maybe this will made him try harder and maybe he will get a championship one day. I hope he doesn't go to RCR for similar reasons - ie. his dad... I am a Tony Stewart fan, but Jr is ok

RCR is where his dad worked. He would be having to live up to him. Hendrick has Jeff & Jimmie. Gibbs has Tony & now Denny... So there must be another Chevy team. He has to stay Chevy, or he will have to change the cars in JR Motorsports.

I on the other hand think RCR would be good for him or even Hendricks motor sports. I am a Carl Edwards fan but I have nothing against Jr.:)

Personally, I have never been a big fan on Earnhardt, Jr. because of the fact that he was "riding on his daddy's coat tails" so to speak. I am actually proud of him for leaving and think it is a great move on his part.

I am glad he is leaving I know he tried to make it and stay but Teresa well they cant get along. I know it is hard for him since his Dad started it but I know his DAd would agree course like he said if dad was still here this would not be happening. I think he will do good! He will succeed he is trying and that is what it takes.

I am still shocked that Teresa let him go! Think of all the money she and DEI (or should we call it TEI) will be losing (Sponsership, merchandise sales) I am sure he will go race for RCR, but I am not so sure they have what it takes to put together a championship team for him!

TEI will loose alot of money! I guess she has enough that she dont need to worry about it. SHe really messed up! I think he will do good too. I wish there was a way he could take over DEI and Let Teresa go.

I think that he should leave the company and quit trying to just ride on Daddy's team. If he is serious about wanting to win like he says, then why doesn't he start his own company. I don't care for him anyway and I don't think that he is nearly as good as his dad was. I think that he has used his dad's name to get where he is today. I think he is childish when it comes to DEI and I think Teresa is a strong woman for not just giving in because of him. He has done nothing in the last couple of year to prove himself . I don't think that Hendricks will take his as they have Gordon and Johnson and I just don't think that they need him. I won't follow the whole thing of him leaving unless they would offer him a ride. Gordon is my favorite driver and I really hate to see him with Jr. as a teammate.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. needs to move on to a team that can give him the support he needs to win races and championships.

I think it will be a good move for Jr. to leave DEI. However, it just won't be right not seeing him in # 8. And if he goes to Gibbs, which seems a good possibility at this point, and Budweiser can't go with him as a sponsor, that won't seem right either. Jr., # 8, and Budweiser just go together. I think he needs a change to boost his career and this is obviously the right time for the change. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
