What!!!!!!!!

Melinda is a great singer, but she comes off boring to me. Week after week she sounds the same, no matter what song she is singing. She will go far, no doubt, but she was not my favourite =) I am hoping that Jordin will win, she has alot of talent and she also seems so down to earth.

Melinda can sing- but I can't stand to watch her- I don't enjoy her voice- her choice of songs or her fake expressions- I'm good-- really? DOn't forget that American Idol is an America votes show- We are the ones who choose who wins- just because your taste was Melinda- My taste was Blake- A 1 shot wonder- I don't think so- But each to our own opinions- I think Blake will make it huge and probably blow Melinda out of the water in sales. He is unique- Melinda to me was boring- Thats why I love Idol so much- it is us america voting for who we each think deserves to win. I can honestly say I don't think I would purchase anything Melinda put out- But I would for Blake and Jordin!

i couldnt agree with you more!! but if you think about it..those results are totally as should be expected. since the vast majority of AI fans are girls..and "tweenyboppers" in particular, its stands to reason that the one closer to their age (Jordin) and the really cute guy closer to their age (Blake) would be the ones to make it to the finale. after the whole Sanjaya fiasco..i dont really think how talented the contestants are matters! it will come down to one decision..for the majority of voting fans..vote for the girl they wish they could be? or the really cute guy they wish they knew?

This is probably one of the best comments I have read about the idol show! I thought Melinda would win from the beginning. But the last two weeks I felt that I knew her time had run out. Not because she isn't the best but I felt the other would win out over her for their more personable personalities. Not that that is right, or that I even agree because I dont' but it happened just that way. I hope my reasoning is wrong! I can't wait to see what happens for Melinda in the future. Talent wise I think she can go any road she chooses. WOW, now that's a talent!

I think Melinda had a beautiful singing voice the best ever on American Idol, however I was not suprise that they let her go the first time she was on the bottom. Melinda has a Classic R & B type voice that voice is not the voice that is selling records these days. I believe Lakisha voters may have voted for Melinda but only voted one time the more mature aged voters the voters most likely to vote only once if they vote at all. I believe that Jordin, Blake and dreadful Sanjaya had the younger age voters, younger people are most likely to vote more than one time and are most like to buy records or ringtones or downloads. I think Blake is creative, although I cannot imagine what beeboping will sound like on a record or on the radio, and you cannot always see him dancing while listening to his music. So I think Jordin is the next American Idol because she has the please anyone voice she can sing, pop, r&B, gospel,soft rock, and she also has the right look can fit in anywhere at the change of an hairstyle or outfit.

I agree and I don't think she was boring and doesn't have personality. I think she could have a greater on stage personality if she wanted to. But, I think she didn't appeal to many of the really young folk and that might be why she got booted. This show seems to be geared to picking out people who can be teen idols, not those who have real talents and abilities. I have really only watched three seasons of this show and may not do so next year unless someone really comes across as being special.

I felt the same way when I heard Melinda was going home. That's crazy!! I have always liked her and she was, in my opinion, the best singer this season. I've wondered if the voting was rigged. Sanjaya being in the top 10 made me sick. No way I'd even think about going to see them on tour just because he is going to be there singing, too. I can't stand to hear him sing. The show has started turning into a joke. People that should be there are sent home while no talents are making it week after week. I have no idea why, either.

I could not wait for her to get voted off. She lost because she didnt have the fan base the others had. People got tired of her big eyed phony look so someone made her stop it. At first she would get that stupid shocked look on her. She did not have the personality like the others do. SHe was voted off fair and square.
