I'm really confused right now. I wanted to leave my job. I love my job and enjoys on it but I don't like the people around it, it makes my work so so difficult. I wanted to continue my career in manufacturing engineering but the pay is also not that good (in my case). I have 2 opportunities now, one is in banking company (citibank) and the other in CAD (autoCAD) designing. Both works offers a better salaries than what i'm getting now. Should I quit my job or stick with it?

Well you might love the kind of job you're in now, the thing is, if you're miserable because you can't stand the people why work there anymore...there's nothing worse than working in a job that makes you feel miserable in one way or another--and this case it's the people..so I think I would grab one of the other offers...besides..since it will pay more would be better deal

yes, you are right. It's worse to work with politicians (that's what i called people who are not productive but very good in talking here). thanks for the response.

When you have anxiety about anything, it is best to follow your instincts! :) Get yourself out of a potentially dangerous situation, BEFORE the trouble occurs... the what anxiety and anticipation is all about... Growth and prosperity have been offered to you and I suggest that you take these gifts... Life was not meant to be lived in fear! :) Also look into developing a small business for yourself with your talents, so that you will always have more than one way to make money on your road to wealth.

it sounds to me like you should go into autoCAD, as this may be more up your alley, the job you have now and design go better together, engineering and design, fit, whereas banking is a little far out the line to be attempting. some people can be very difficult to work with. maybe you should check with someone lower on the totem pole to find out who the trouble makers are and who the thinkers are. someone like the mail boy. or even a secretary. not that these jobs are of minor importance. a business cannot run without either

Just follow your heart. As an engineer, I think it'd better to go CADing. It's fun at the same time you earn. I also love CADing, but haven't took it as an elective in our school. But I'm acquainted with it.

Thanks for the advice. yes you are right, we have this course when i was still in college. It's still connected with my course though but what makes me think is what career does the autoCAD can give you after few years. Unlike in my work right now, i'm already assistant manager.

Since you're currently an assistant manager, you've probably worked your way up to a position with responsibilities. As such, you are capable of leading groups. I'd suggest you move to the banking sector where you should have greater promotion opportunities. It's not clear from your post exactly what either job opportunities involve... However, unless you're a designer, as a CAD technician you'll be stuck with taking orders from others...

yes you are right...you got points on there. That's what I'm thinking with CAD, there's no future there. I mean I already worked hard for my position right now like on a young age (for me 26 is still young), i have got a position of Assistant Manager abroad....i will think about your post...thanks for the response!

If I were you, firstly, quiting the current job is for sure. Secondly, which offer should you take? You not only have to consider what will interest you more, but also which one will give you a better future. All the best!
