Will all the contamination thats going on makes us go back to the old ways.

I have been watching for the past couple years all the contamiation that has been going on to our foods and products. This year I have seen a big change and more than ever in this matter. So my husband and I have decided to get some hens to lay eggs and ect. We thought they would be about the same price as last year but to our surprise they where extremely more than they have ever been. I am guessing that they have increased in price so due to the fact that all the feed was contamiated. It has seriously got me concerned about the price of meats and products that we get at the store. A normal family will not be able to afford to feed their families within the coming year or two. So what will people do will they go back to the old ways or will they just take the chance of the foods that the manufactors supply us and pray that they will not make us sick. What doyou guys think?
