The only celebrity person I have met in person is Medha Patkar. She is not exactly a celebrity, but she is well known around the world as a woman fighting for cause of weaker section of the society. It was great talking to her and I was highly impressed with her views.

I have met some industrialists....... if that fits the bill of being a celebrity. I have had the chance to meet Gautam Singhania, his father, Vijaypat Singhania and Vijay Mallya.

I met Marilyn Manson (singer/performer in the US if he's not internationally recognizable) a few years back when I took my son to a book signing. Despite how he appears in concert and in his videos, he was very charming, polite & nice. Not that I conversed with him for hours; but we shook hands, he commented positively on my bringing my son to meet him (my son was about 11 at the time) and was just in general polite to everyone I heard him saying hello to while we were there. I on the other hand was a bit tongue tied & probably sounded like a dork. I wasn't expecting that he'd say anything to us, so even though I am not a huge fan nor a giggling teenie-bopper, I still stumbled around trying to get out an intelligent response.

I sing in a rock band so I get to meet other musicians and singers all the time, some very famous, some just locally famous. The guys are usually boring, all they want to talk about is their guitar collection. The women are much more fun, we sit and make fun of the guys.. LOL.

I was working in our shop when some people came to do book signings so got quite close to them - Ainsley Harriot and Gerry Halliwell. I have been to golf tournaments and collected autographs so got to talk to them a little. They were mostly nice and friendly. Wished Paul McGinley well on the practise day for the Ryder Cup. Then he went on to make the winning putt. I think it was all because of me. Lol

I have seen and met a few in my travels. There have been many that I've seen walking the streets of NYC... Kevin Bacon and Lisa Ling when she was on The View are the biggest names I've seen that way but there have been many daytime soap stars as well. I waited for an elevator in a NYC hotel with Hallie Berry once. I have met the staff of Good Morning America. Tony Perkins was the nicest. Elizabeth Vargas was there for Diane on that day and she seemed annoyed by the crowds. I saw some members of the cast of Dallas/Knots Landing in a restaurant in New Orleans. In college I was a member of the club that brought entertainment to campus so I met several people through that.... George Carlin, Hank Williams Jr, the group Alabama, Jimmy Buffet, Billy Ocean and a few more.

I have met a ton of country singers when I was younger. I would love to meet John Cusack. I would probably freeze and completely lose all ability to speak. I'd be so nervous. Lol.

I used to work at Starbucks in a prominent location here in town, and there were a few "celebrities" that I met. First, there was Pierce Brosnan. He was so charming and very polite, I told him I enjoyed his films. He ordered 4 iced lattes. Then there was Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe from Friends). She was in town promoting her new show and was staying at the hotel in our plaza. She was also really nice. Last, there was Jared from Subway. He was kinda quiet, didn't say much. He ordered a regular black coffee and went about his day. Those were interesting situations. The Pierce Brosnan one was amazing, though.

I have met Mike Tyson, Lorenzo Lamas, Flavor Flav and Jerry Mathers (Leave It To Beaver). Mike Tyson at the time was very nice(he was 21 and very young and not affected by stardom). Lorenzo Lamas was very down to earth and was very nice to me. he talked tome for a good 15 to 20 minutes and didn't treat me like I was beneath him or anything. Flavor Flav was a jerk. My husband and I were at a concert that he was at and he bumped into my husband and he acted like my husband was the one who bumped into him. My husband made some comment to the effect that he was going to put his clock where the sun doesn't shine. Jerry Mathers was so sweet! He was just like a good friend you haven't seen in a long time! He just made you feel at home talkign to him.
