I always try to say thanks with a smile , it may not seem much to say , but it has worked wonders for me. Everyone today is living under stress , and when we are under stress we are liable to make mistakes, and the best part come when after doing a work if some one does not say thanks for it most of us do feel bad. When ever i go out , i meet people i make a point to give a smile talk politely and if some one does any small or big work or anything , i never forget to say thank you, it helps the other person , what we all need is self respect and love. Saying thank you doesnt cost us or any one anything , it just makes the others feel important , they feel they have done something good. Its like we appreciate them , and it really works wonders , it automatically changes the thinking of the other person ,it may be your maid , the peon of your office the boss , any one . I just make a point that i dont see the class of that person , what i see is the person , it may be any body. And may be due to this or my polite nature most of my friends and family members are always happy to be with me , as are the people i meet , in and out . A thank you and a smile is like a good dose for any one in bad mood or in bad condition.

You are so correct. It's amazing how much good a kind word and a smile can do.

i have noticed this, too. if we smile at somebody, he/she smiles back even if we do not know each other. i have a habit of saying thank you whenever i receive a favor or a service. we might have paid for it, but the thank you is for having given me good service. i believe that it makes one feel appreciated with a simple thank you given to him/her. a smile will even brighten up one's day whereas, a frown and a bad look can break the good day that one would have been enjoying.

as much as possible, i try to say thank you whenever someone did something for me. it can be as small as passing the ketchup or as big as doing an errand. i feel that thank you can sum up all the things i want to say and how grateful i am. adding it with a smile, makes it more whole heartedly given.

it is true that a thank you given to anyone who has done us a favor, or rendered us some service, will make the person feel good that he has done something wchich gets appreciated. a smile given will always lighten up another smile in somebody else's face, too. to say thank you with a smile will surely make the person even more eager to carry on with his task with a lighter heart and a happy mood. it will therefore be a good thing to flash smiles to everyone and say thank you to those who deserve it.

I say thank you very often. I think it's important to be polite, and to let people know that you appreciate what they do for you. I even thank the people working at restaurants and stores, because I have worked at a restaurant before, and know how underappreciated those people are.

I was brought up by my parents to be polite and kind. I never forgot to say thank you to the people who've done me a favor coz i want them to feel that what they've done is greatly appreciated. It's just a simple and short sentence but it means a lot.
