1 week after the mid-term elections, there are lessons to be learned by several politicians and voters alike.. aside from the killings, i think it was a peaceful election.. voters had participated in protecting their votes, with the help of tv programs.. kudos to all who had participated. voters now i guess had matured already in choosing their leaders.. political dynasties ending in several provinces, like that of the valeras in abra, or in tarlac.. showbiz personalities losing in every local and national positions they ran.. i just hope that the leaders elected do theyre job properly (or as promised during their campaign).. and all would-be politicians, beware!

It was generally peaceful election. Those wranglings and troublespots seen on television were just very isolated cases and could not speak for the rest of the country. Probably we have matured a little bit as voters. for sure, voters are now not easily pursuaded based on popularity alone hence we have seen some showbiz personalities who lost, like Richard Gomez, Cesar Montano, Tito Sotto, Boyet de Leon and even Manny Pacquiao. I am hoping that the next election in 2010 will also bear the same maturity.
