homework

many schools set homework. a number of ambitious parents insist on it. should the child do the work unaided ,or may parents help?the best solution is for the parents to give help where absolutely needed, but to indicate to the teacher what assistance was given.

I agree with you... I think the child should be left to do the homework to the best of his ability, and without aid, because it is an indication as to whether he has learned the lesson which the homework covers. Parents should only give help if absolutely necessary and if they know the school's curriculum because education changes over years, and the parents way of learning can have been oh, so different to their child's. I think that liaison with the teacher is all important, when it comes to our children's education.
