Recently a Gorilla in Rotterdam attacked a visitor. The Women who was attacked is very damaged. Don't immediately think that it;s the Gorilla's fault, because it's not. She had been warned not to keep looking at the Gorilla because she would get angry. She didn't listen and kept watching at the Gorilla. The Gorilla got angry and she with her stupid dutch head thought the Gorilla was smiling at her. So the Gorilla got loose and escaped and attacked the woman. Now she blames the zoo for it while the zoo says it's her own fault. Well i think she deserved it and probably she will be too damaged to heal completely but i think it's her own stupid fault. What do you think?

I agree with you eyewitness. There was a similar incident in downtown anchorage recently involving a tourist and a wild moose. It always amazes me that people can be so naive when it comes to animals. Some seem to have no respect for the life of the animal at all. Here animals are killed all the time because people do stupid things like leave trash for bears to find, or hand feed a moose calf until its so attached to humans that it gets mad when humans won't feed it anymore. Usually that happens after it becomes an 8ft tall aggressive bull moose. I do a lot of nature photography and getting an animal to react is simply a no no. I let the animal know I am there, I let the animal decide how close I get to be. I have a telephoto lens if I have to stay to far away. But I respect the animal. I can honestly say it is amiraculous experience being close to them if they allow it. But they are wild animals and the only way they can show us that they don't want us around is to be aggressive. I just don't understand why people don't believe that all wild animals are this way. It is unfortunate that the woman got injured but as you said it was her fault for not listening to the keeper. If she was warned and didn't heed I don't see how the zoo could be blamed. Hope they didn't have to kill the gorilla :(

Thanks for your answer in this. They won't kill the gorilla, but they might move the gorilla to some other zoo.But the woman would probably blame the zoo and wants to sue it.There are always people being naiv just like people at see where the sharks are. It's their territory and then they kill the sharks.I mean it's not their fault.

Well, why was the Gorilla in a position where it could get close to a person in public? That should never be allowed and I would hold the Zoo 100% responsible for not making sure that their public visitors are safe at all times?

No this is a great zoo and she couldn't get close to a person in public. She got so mad because of the woman that she jumped over some water which was big and people were astounded. There was even a picture with one of our celebrities who kissed the same gorilla. So the Gorilla ain't the problem.
