Can You Kill your Dog For Meat?

Dogs should be peoples pets and they should be a part of the family who has taken them in. Dogs should be treated well with love and respect. A dog will be his master's best friend and would lay his life on the line for his master. A dog will be there for you when you need him most.

I agree with the previous poster that a dog should really be a man's best friend and vice versa. Ideally, dogs should truly be helpful to their masters and such masters, in turn, should look after the welfare of their dogs to effectively foster a genuine friendship between themselves and their dogs. Dogs, if nurtured properly, could be of great help to their masters. For one, they could, in a way, serve as security guards of some sort, which could ensure the safety and protection of their masters. Further, a dog could also be quite a good source of additional income. For instance, if a dog owner would decide to breed dogs and, eventually, sell the pups of his dog, then he could earn something extra from such sale. He could also earn something through stud sessions. If his dog would be hired by another dog owner to be a stud of that owner's female dog (bit*h), then he could be paid by the dog owner. Also, dogs could be trained to participate in several dog contests, and if their masters trained them efficiently well, then they could even win such competitions, which, in turn, could bring much satisfaction, if not a feeling of quiet honor, to their masters. Dogs could also serve as momentary entertainment for their masters, which could ease their stress and give them pleasurable enjoyment. However, if push comes to shove, I feel that there's a possibility, however slim it may be, that a dog owner could kill his dog and even eat it. This could perhaps happen in the seemingly unlikely event that a dog owner has nothing to eat anymore or when he is mired in grinding poverty, and nobody wants to buy his dog, no matter how hard he tried to sell it. Of course, in this particular instance, I feel that it is quite reasonable to assume that to essentially ensure his survival, he would perhaps opt to kill his dog and eat it, even if it may be very repulsive for him to do so. In response to your question, thus, I personally could not kill my dog and eat it. However, I would perfectly understand why some may resort to such extreme measure.

I dont know where your from but we dont kill dogs for meat. We have dogs for a pet. They are part of our families in many areas of the united states. I dont understand what your are trying to say here. Also this discussion is not a very good one. It might even be banned.

In America, our dogs are cherished pets. We do not kill them for food. In America this is a crime and is frowned upon and considered abusive, not to mention gross. I am aware that some countries do eat dogs, but it is not in our American culture.

no way, no possible way! i love my dogs, well, i love all dogs and there just isnt any justice to kill a dog just for meat. there are lots of fruits and vegetables around so why do i i have to kill my dog. i really cant do it, much more eat the meat of my dog. eew.
