Finding beauty within us all...

I was an artist in college, drew all kinds of people in charcoal, and for the life of me, don't know why, but I saw beauty differently than most people. I could watch a face, and see wrinkles, but I knew each one of those wrinkles had a story to tell, and to me, that was beautiful. Laugh lines, and deep grooves near the corners of the mouth, and my passion was gray hair, to me that stood for wisdom. Why does life grade beauty on merely the young? or even those who have had plastic surgery? to me, this is an illusion! what are your thoughts?
