Yes, I have SAD Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder so that makes me more depressed in the winter. The Best way to treat this is to get special spectrum lights, and sit under them for 2-3 hrs a day, do a hobby, read a book or sit at the computer, sleep with them on yeah if they are the type that are safe to leave one all the time.... The other is Cabin Fever boredom wanting to get out and do things you can not do in the summer. We kind of get that reversed around here. As after you learn about all the winter activites you can do it is fun. Snow and Ice sculptures, Snow ball fights, Drawing in the snow, Snow mobiling, Skiing, Making things in the snow with your foot prints on an open lawn.. Its simple things but they are fun things to help combat that boredom one gets in the winter.. its cold but if you bundle up right take a walk in it if just rains where you are put in a rain coat and go for a walk listen to the rain coming down.... and enjoy the sounds and sites of it up close without a worry. :) ... Learn to turn the Winter boredom around and look for interesting and active things to do. This is what keeps people sane during the winter.. is winter activities, and community socials :) .
