Who out there have joined Weight Watcher? How are you doing?

My before picture - This is me in my before picture, as you can see my face and arms aren't too big and you may not be able to tell but my legs aren't too big, it's just my middle section, I'm what you'd call an apple figure, the centre part of me is round. And I'm solid too, none of the soft flabby fat, it's solid fat.. lol.. don't know if that's good or bad?

I joined Weight Watchers two weeks ago and so far I've lost almost 7 pounds. I have to get more active so that the weight will continue to come off at a good rate, I'd like to lose at least 2 pounds a week or there abouts. Has anyone else joined Weight Watchers and what do you think of it? How much do you have to lose? I started at 55 pounds to lose to get to my ultimate goad and now I'm down to 48 to lose. I'll try to keep a diary of my losses as I go so that I will keep myself focused. Wish me luck! If I can take off at least 2 pounds a week I should be at goal in around 24 weeks or 6 months give or take. And I'm posting a not too flattering picture of me so there's no turning back now.

WTG on your weightloss so far!! I have just started doing weight watchers here at home(not going to the meetings) again this pass week. I have 150lbs to lose YUCK!! plus I go to the gym for women only five days a week and that I beleive really helps me. I lose 46 lb back in 2000 on WW before I move here then i put the 46 plus 40 more on before I relized what had hit me! good luck on you journey!

Good luck on your journey as well, it's too bad that you put the weight back on plus more but you had success before and you can have it again. Be sure to keep us updated on how you are doing.

Well I missed a week of ww because I was sick and ended up gaining .2 of a pound.. I decided to try the Core plan bacause I'm not good at keeping track of my points and figured that it would be easier to just eat the core foods and I'll absolutely loving it!!! I think I may even be at the 10 pound loss mark by my next meeting on Wednesday. If I did reach my mark I'm going to treat myself to a haircut because my hair is getting really long and limp and I really like a really short, funky haircut to go with my new attitude.. lol.. I will let you all know how my meeting goes on Wednesday..

Congratulations that is a great weight loss. If you want to be more active to help your weight loss then you should try walking 10,000 steps each day. It sounds a lot and you might have to work up to it but it has been proved to be the minimum amount of steps to take in a day to lose weight, keep it off and get fit. I have done weight watchers in the past but I prefer something simpler like the Atkins diet. I did watch a documentary recently about the woman who started weight watchers and it was really interesting and if you get the chance you should read about the founder of weight watchers as her story is very inspiring.

Thank you beniegdi, I have started to walk with my sister every morning for an hour before I go to work. We get a chance to catch up on the news and she gets to take her dog for a walk every morning. The only thing I find hard is next week we will start opening the office at 8am and it takes a half an hour to drive from where I live into the city so I'll have to be getting up at least at 5am to get ready and out the door *yawn* I'm getting tired just thinking about it!!

I've been on weight watchers, I keep going up and down in weight, I lost 50 pounds and went from a size 22 to a 14, I've gained a little weight back so I'm trying to take it off, I love a program called turbo jam, I did it 3 times a week and I lost 3 lbs that week, with sensible eating of course. 3500 calories is equal to a lb and according to leslie sansone of walk away the pounds about 2,000 steps is equal to 1 mile. I just graduated with an associates degree in health care management. I'm on disability due to epilepsy, I have high cholesterol and depression and anxiety, I feel sometimes it stops me from losing weight with the pills and seizures but I have been losing weight and if I can do it anyone can.

I started the plan in January 2007 with my mom. She is going to the meetings, but I'm not. I am highly motivated, and I am doing the flex plan. My family doesn't buy that many vegetables and fruits to do the core plan. I have lost 25 pounds (around 11 kilograms) since then. My goal is to lose around 35 to 40 pounds (around 18 kilograms). I know I am almost there, but I'm not losing weight very fast at all. I don't mind at all. I am in no rush. Actually your first few weeks you lose a lot! I lost around 7 pounds the first week. However, I have come to realize that I want to be on this plan for the future. It seems good and before I was eating WAY to big portions such as a whole pizza, or two to three portions when really I should have eaten just one portion. It was sad to look at myself and see that I had turned into a big man. Hehehe, my clothes were all tight and I couldn't believe myself when I saw myself in the pictures. I just want to be a healthy weight and look good. Have a nice day. Pablo

Congratulations Pablo you're doing great! and they say you are doing it the right way, slow and easy are best because, like you said, you should think of it as a new way of life, not just a way to lose weight. That's why I really like the core plan myself because we do eat a lot of vegetables and I like fresh fruit so with a little tweaking and buying a few extras as well as cutting the portions way back I think I can adapt this way of eating for life. Last week I lost 3.2 pounds so I have almost 10 pounds off in 5 weeks (9.8 lbs to be exact, but whose counting?... me!).
