Some people have a funny attitude to charity and value for money

We had the biggest morning tea at work today which raises money for cancer. They charged $5 for a piece of cake and a cup of tea or coffee (which we already pay for as part of our morning tea fund). When this person got there there wasn't much to choose from and it didn't look particularly nice, so they complained about the value of it. However, the funny thing is that they were quite happy just to donate the money outright. Has anyone seen something like that - if you get something for your donation and it's not very good someone complains, but they don't mind giving their money and not getting anything?
