Do auto surf programs really work?

I've always wondered how it works to get high quality visitors to your site, if noone is actually watching the sites as they pop up. I mean, it's auto-surf as the name implies...just set it and forget it...no need to type in a number as the site pops up like you do with a manual surf program. I can't see how these work! Maybe there's another hidden benefit to using auto surf programs to generate hits to your site? Why do you use auto surf programs? Have you made any money with them or gotten really great leads for your website. Really love to know.

I thought that was going to be the response. I've tried them once before, and felt pretty bad about the sad state of affairs at auto surfing. I mean, who really is looking at the screen. I have a friend who used auto surfing to raise his Alexa ranking. But, other than that, it didn't make him much money. Thanks for your post.
