What Kind Of Typist Are You?

What kind of typist are you? Pick one: 1) "I type with 2 fingers, looking at the keyboard" 2) "I type with more than 2 fingers, looking at the keyboard" 3) "I type fast without looking at the keyboard, but often have errors and the backspace/delete key is my best friend" 4) "I type fast without looking at the keyboard and seldom use the backspace/delete key" 5) "I type average or slow without looking at the keyboard, but often pause typing, to think."

Probably 4, I think. I can type in the dark, and I genuinely love typing. :) Backspacking isn't a problem for me but I can probably type with 90% accuracy. My weird keyboard (and years of mudding/chatting) only helps me with honing my skills, haha!!

Usually, I type with more than two fingers, looking at the keyboard, there is the occasion when I don't need to see all the keys, but I do feel more comfortable looking at the keyboard, just to make sure I'm getting close to the letter I need to type. It helps with some of those typos too.

i am usually no.3, i type fast without looking at the keyboard, but often looking at the keyboard, but often have errors and the backspace/delete key is my best friend. very well said... but from time to time, i try to type without using the backspace. i want to improve my typing skill and i think mylot has been a very efficient way for me to practice.

Well, I think I am 2) mostly but I try 3) also sometimes. This is because I never took formal training in typing. I never thought one day we would have PC for the type of jobs we do now a days. It was simply not imagined those days. Today it is well established that a formal learning of typing is a must.

Hmm, i'd say i'm maybe a 2-3, sometimes i look at the keys, but sometimes i don't! I guess i occasinally glance at them. I'm, very fast, though do make some very silly errors, usually ones that are corrected by spellcheck/autoformat so when typing for my job i make few mistakes.
