USA to implement more strict immigration rules: are you in favor of it or not?

i am a nurse here in the philippines and am planning to work in the united states. i am not sure if i'll be affected by this issue or not, but i'm kind of bothered because i know a lot of people who stay there even without any visa yet. from what i've heard on the news last night, a pointing system will be implemented based on your income, investment for US, etc. (i can't remember the others). with the number of manpower that other races provide for USA, is it really advisable to be more strict now with them? or not? only opinions here =)

Immigration reform is a necessity in America, we taxpayers can not afford to continue supporting everyone. The proposed rules changes are designed to ensure immigrants coming to the states have something to offer, not just drain our economy. There is something wrong with a system that rewards illegals who invade our borders by giving them jobs, welfare, food stamps and medical care while the citizens go without. It it time for a change.

Great post. You got it right. We can't keep letting immigrants have free reign.
