I was very upset when i saw that the Democrats (who i lean more towards), gave into President Bush by not including a timeline for troops to withdraw from Iraq. I voted for Bush..twice even. Now i realize that our troops are dieing because of mine and others vote. With an approval rating of around 28% how can he not listen to the American people. He keeps saying that Americans do not want to lose this war. To be honest, i think Americans could give a crap about losing this war..they just don't want to lose anymore of our troops.

lol, oh goodness. Ok first off, if we leave then they will just come to us and we lose everything we have ever fought for! Yes it is very sad and very hard to see those heroes that we have lost but our soldiers are well aware of all the risks that they take once they join the Military. I wish the war was over but right now its not and that is just something we have to deal with and continue to support our soldiers in this time. I give a BIG crap about losing the war, oh heck no I do not want to lose this war for nothing and that is why we are over in Iraq right now. -Lora

First off - the "terrorists" are not an an organized army that we're waging war with - they don't wear a uniform, they aren't militia. Don't say that we're fighting the war over there to keep the them over there, too. They're not in this to fight our soldiers, they're in this to terrorize our way of life (i.e. "terrorists"). Maybe it's about time we bring home our NATIONAL GUARD so they can actually protect our homeland when we need it. We have so few people here to protect us that we're more vulnerable now than we were pre-9/11. We can't even help protect ourselves from natural disasters, for crying out loud! They're the Guard...they're NOT Army Reserves. I support our troops, they're the bravest men and women in this country. But, I despise the man that sent them.

There is no draft..these are all volunteers..so this is what they signed up for.. if the war comes to these shores.and it looks like it very well could..you will see a rush to arms..just like the sinking of the Lusitania and Pearl Harbor..American's are pacifist..and then when someone bombs them..it will be war time..in a New York minute..

not all the Americans think like you do. This is what happened in Viet Nam..we fought a war without any real exit plan..just keep fighting..so now we will see this war go on until after the Democrats are in office..but they will take their sweet time ending it too..Nixon took his time ending the Viet Nam war..he bombed Cambodia and Lao's ..but finally ended this conflict..we won't see an end to this as there will be another reason for war..it is going to happen sooner or later..911? or worse..just look at England..it will take another five years before this war comes to a close..maybe not even then..and we will still have a military presence in this area..like Germany and Japan and all the other foreign bases..war is profitable..if it were not so..then it would end tomorrow.
