I love selling on ebay, extra money and I think it's fun to watch the auctions, especially at the end. But I LOATHE packaging up the stuff and actually taking it to the post office! It's such a chore!! Even if I print those handy paypal labels at home, I still have to take it in and stand in line with a bunch of packages. I hate it! And usually I just pay for the postage/tracking/insurance at the post office in person. Ugh!! Am I the only one that this annoys? ha I wish I could hire someone to do all that!

that's the only reason i haven't sold anything on ebay yet. don't want to do all the packaging and such. running it all to the post office! have you made pretty good money though selling your stuff? do you think it's worth all your time? i've heard good things and bad things. i would like to use it! i would rather do that than garage sales! ha, can't manage those things!! but need to get rid of some stuff!!

Yes, one month I sold my kids outgrown clothes and made over $900! That was pretty good to me. We've sold old video game systems for pretty good money too but that's harder to ship. The clothes are easy though! We sell video games the kids and hubby don't want and the new ones go pretty good, almost what we paid, so it's like playing the games for free! I still hate the post office, it makes me grumpy, because I have to go tomorrow!

PM me anytime and ask anything! I'd love to help! I hope your post office has that cool machine like Michele's does! I am so jealous. lol. The clerks at mine are grumpy too, especially if I pay with my debit card. Then they get mad. lol

I hate going to the post ofice too!! It is like the one closest to our house is always busy and the line is out the door!! But they just put in an automated machine, where you can buy stamps and mail packages on your own, as long as you pay with a debit or credit card. It is the best thing ever, so I like to go after they close at night so there isn't anybody there.

I agree-- I used to sell alot more but have gotten out of it- I have piles at home- I hate the weighing stuff to try to figure out how much it will cost to ship. When people ask- I usually package it up in the box it will ship from- bring it to work- and figure out the amount it will cost and then add on e-bay. I'm lucky though... I can ship from work and just pay 1 fee here- instead of going to post office and standing in line, etc. I love that! But I know some people that actaully hire people to do the e-bay for them.. and just give them a portion of the money-

I hate that as well, i've only had to do it for a few friends and its really annoying. I'm actually trying to become a seller, but its just that annoying fact that bothers me lol.

4cuteboys, you are fortunate you can sell all those stuff on ebay. How I wish I also can sell some of my things but I just cant. Our country is not fully covered by paypal. We can only send money to our account with them to buy things at ebay, but we cannot receive or withdraw money from our account with them. So, how can we sell something on ebay when we cannot receive payment for the goods sold? There is an on going campaign for paypal to set up full accounts in our country but to date, nothing has come out of it.

Go to USPS.COM and do some homework. You can buy insurance and the works at home on your computer, also you must use Priority mail but the postal service will pick up your packages. You have to call them and schedule pick up and you must be home. Works for me, good luck!!

I used to sell quite avidly on ebay, but it became too much to handle with my fulltime job and family. I too, really hated the packaging and mailing! It seemed like such a chore for some reason. I really enjoyed writing the adds and communicating with buyers. I still shop on ebay but rarely sell.
