why do American cars are left hand drive? what is the specific history of this and why do they still use the imperial scale instead of the metric scale?

I think we need some Avid American historians to answer that one lol. Well think that in Europe the English here are the only ones with right hand drive, the rest of Europe drive with on the left. I think also Cyprus drives on the right like the British. I only drive people up the wall or round the bend lol.

yeah, i also notice there are some other countries practicing left hand drive. well, I was just asking this question out of the blue.. l o l..
