Tans: Faux or Real?

With summer just around the corner, we all want to look tan and healthy, but tanning for real can be dangerous to your health because of skin cancer and it is the worst culprit as far as accelerated aging goes. I am fair-haired, and have blue eyes and freckles so tanning is next to impossible for me. Instead, I choose to apply a faux tan with one of the gradual tanning products that you can buy in the drug store. I like the nice, healthy glow it gives me and I use a sunscreen to protect my delicate skin. Do you also use a sunscreen and forego a real tan for a fake one, and if so, what kind of self-tanning products do you use or, are you a sun worshipper?

i do prefer a sunless tan. i got a lot of freckels on my shoulders when i used to tan outside when i was a teenager. i have seen numerous people who used to tan in the sun, who is now looking older than they really are. a good sunscreen can keep the harmful rays out but cant keep the moisture in. i use a product called Annique self bronzer. its a spray on so no rubbing, and no smears. and it doesnt give a yellowish colour. it looks so real. and it doesnt smell like the other lotions and stuff. but i do admit that sunbathing is way more fun.

I think you can buy it online at http//:www.annique.co.za i always opt for the tanning stuff that sprays on.

Hi, there's nothing better than a real tan, I can spot a fake a mile off usually, however with the health problems it is becoming more of a worry and I always use sunscreen when I can. I do use fake tan myself though, especially at the start of the summer when I'm lilly white!
