I had a hellish week, on last Thursday 17th May, I switched on my PC in the morning, like any other day, and tried to connect to the internet. That's when I realized I couldn't do that. Unfortunately my internet had been disconnected as I hadn't paid the telephone, what can I say, I was a little behind, ahem, ahem....
So, anyway, all dues settled now, it's so good to be back... I gotta say since I'm online for at least 4 hours a day, going cold turkey like that, and having no internet for a week can really be devastating, especially, if you know you'd be missing out on a whole lotta things like good discussions as well as making some money too.
I missed the net a whole lot, no chatting with my best friend, no typing away on my lot.
Now it's soooooo goooooood to be back!!!

I have similar "fear" as you have experienced. Today, Saturday 26th May i am going to be spending about fourteen hours using my pc and internet. I spend on average about eight hours per day using the internet and have done for the last year. A week without the internet for me would be hell, and if i had no internet AND no pc for a week i would end up becoming a menace to my local town and probably cause so much trouble i would end up in prison or with an asbo or something. The internet is extrememly important for me, im delighted for you that you have "the net" back, happy surfing.

Yeah, man, it was like I had nothing to do, sometimes I would just walk around the house doing nothing, I was like a ghost, it's not just that I missed the net, but it's just that now I had that extra 4-5 hours to kill and I didn't know what to do with those....
Thank God I have my ps2 to look after me, when things like these happen, I don't know what I would have done without it.

Your comment about your ps2 just reminded me i have a xbox in my bedroom somewhere, although its very very rarely used because of my pc.

Firstly, a warm welcome back, after your unplanned sabbatical! I was wondering where you were, as there were no new posts from you. I thought that you were just busy with something else. I hope you did not have to pay up a fine or something for the late payment. I don't think any Internet service provider would risk losing a customer by imposing a fine for late payment, but you won't be so lucky if the payment is for a telephone bill, I guess. I'm extraordinarily lazy, and also forgetful, not to mention, a chronic procrastinator. The combination has resulted in my having to pay a lot of late fines across the years, ranging from fines for overdue books at the library as well as late payment of my hostel fees!

i understand. it's kinda empty without the internet. like you can't do anything anymore. hehehe.
just like when i went for a vacation for a week where there's no internet, i felt a bit annoyed. since i chat to my boyfriend online everyday, plus, i do myLot and earn here, and i wonder, too how my friends are doing. so, getting me away from the internet makes me feel losing so much in a day.

Yeah, well, when we were not into it, in the good old days, then it was okay. I mean I was fine without the internet a few months back, but now that we have a taste of it, it is hard and scary to just go cold turkey like that. I mean, imagine, no internet, no chatting with friends, no meeting cool people online, no unlimited knowledge and information, no my lot. It's hard to imagine, I mean, I've found so many people online that I can talk to about my interests, that I can't really do in my real life, so it is a bit scary not to have the internet altogether.

yes vega. you'll never know how much you'll miss myLot until the time you can't log in or can't have any access to the internet at all. makes life empty! haha.
and yup. odd to not have that robot dancing on discussions! but still glad to know you're back and that you did not go to another forum.

Welcome back.. I know the feeling it sucks.. I had moved a few months back and Omg.. After i moved i was without internet for about 1 mo.. and that was hard because i would come online everyday.. doing stuff, email and friends.. come on here also.. but i was so relieved when i finally got it back.. and been here ever since.. :)

My internet connection was not working properly yesterday and that was bad enough. It was so frustrating as we were out during the evening so I was trying to do my daily necessities in the afternoon and had to give up in the end. I am not able to spend all day on the computer and feel guilty when the weather has been good and I have been indoors. I say I am working and making money but my family don't believe it. I am getting so that I prefer rainy days so that I can stay inside!

Oh I hate it when the connection is bad, it's worse than having no internet, watching each page load and it takes forever. It can get really annoying. I guess when you do withdraw the money you've been making online, then your family will definitely believe you. So good luck with that.

Glad your internet situaion got resolved! I would completely freak out if mine went off. I went through a period with my new modem when I was having to fix it ll the time and I got to dread the whole mess. Welcome back!
