computer playerswith 2.1 speaker choice

Hi,
I have a very nice 2.1 speaker system but in all of the programs I have seen I only see stereo or 5.1 settings. I can't find a progrm that specifically supports 2.1 systems. If you know of any media programs that do I would be very grateful.

Technically, 2.1 is Stereo with the added subwoofer. There's nothing that the computer can do to optimize the audio signals for this setup, as the bass is separated and sent to the subwoofer by the speaker system.

You dont need any specific programme to support 2.1 . The number 5.1 denotes the maximum number of speakers supported. You wouldnt see any software which would emphasise on 2.1 coz thats old and supported . You would see 5.1 and in a further days 7.1 too. DOnt worry about your 2.1 channel system.. most of the audio would work
