Do you do anything to help others?

In the media hysteria, shopping, internet and tv-world that many of uss are living in, it is easy to get hung up on the problems of our lives, without seing the whole picture. Living in a relatively rich country, I think it is my duty to do at least something small to help others. For example contribute to Amexty or the Red Cross or some other asociation that works with helping people. What do you do to contribute to making the world at least a little better? This is more a rethorical question to make you think about what you can do for other people, than a discussion started to get as many responses as possible.
