well I'm about 28-29 weeks pregnant! My last ultra sound the lady asked would you like to know what you are going to have? I said well can you tell what you would buy for it =) and she laughed and said well I wouldn't be buying any bows! I was at first really sad, mean I didn't want to feel like that for I will love my baby no matter what but I guess I was convinced it was going to be a girl! Anyhow so I wanted to let you all know it looks to be a son #5 for me =) Thank you all for reading my post your friend Stacy

Congrats! I know what you mean about feeling sad... I felt that way when I found out my baby wasn't the gender I thought it was going to be too! I had already picked out girl names and started thinking about all kinds of girly things when I found out that mine was going to be a boy! Of course, now that I have him, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Thank you for sharing that with me, I felt bad thinking like that and kind of felt I was the only one to feel this way! But you know I already have 3 girls and soon to be 5 boys you wouldn't think I would still get those feeling =( But your so right it does always works out in the end when we are holding our new bundle of joy! Thank you again Stacy

I really thought I was carrying a girl, my in laws had all convinced me of it because of the way my belly was shaped. So I told my husband if it was a boy, he could name him whatever he wanted, thinking that wasn't going to happen anyway. I had an ultrasound, the nurse asked me if I wanted to know and I hesitated. Because I hesitated, she said she couldn't tell anyway, but I knew she could, didn't want pressure me. So I gave birth (c-section totally under) and when I woke up, I asked the dr what I had. He said a boy, I thought I was dreaming, fell back to sleep and asked the nurse, this happened 3 times when they finally just wheeled me out to see my beautiful son. No regrets. Congratulations on your new baby boy, #5 huh. You've almost got a football team.

His name is Joshua, Dad did good with that, it really suits him too. So 3 girls with 5 boys then. I'm thinkin those girls should be tough enough for hockey with 5 brothers LOL! May God bless you and your family Stacy!!

I already knew that I was having a boy before they told me. When they asked me if I wanted to know I said that Iw as having a boy. They knew I was right. I had only picked 1 name out..a boys name...and was not going to be told I could be wrong. Congrats on your next baby.

I was unable to find out what the sexes were for my first 2. But my first one was 10 weeks early and was a girl. then when i seemed to be caring my second child different from my first i thought i was goign to get lucky and have my boy and that would be that i could get a tubal and be done. But everytime i had an ultrasound the baby hid from it and wouldnt show its gender, so fortunatly we went with all neutral colors for boy or girl and picked out names for each but i so was still exspecting a boy and when i had my 2nd daughter i probually felt like you did when you were getting your ultra sound. Then i got pregnant with my third child and i was sick from day one. and everyone said to me that boys make you sick like that worse then girls but i wasnt about to get my hopes up at all not for them to be broken into a million peices so i think i almost excepted that like my mother who wanted a boy more then anything had 3 girls i was going to have 3 as well, then at my first ultra sound appointment they looked and they saw that i was having a boy, he wasnt shy at all he had it right out there in plain sight unlike my girls who always hid and i burt into tears and oh the feeling that i had just then was wow unexplainable. What made the day better was that a friend of mine and i were pregnant together and due only days apart so we made our ultrasound appointments together and she had just got hers and they saw that hers was a girl and that had been what she had wanted because she already had had a sone and a girl would complete their family so there was alot of crying in that rooma nd alot of excitement. I wish you luck with the rest of your pregnancy and birth. Dont feel sad about thinking that way it happens to alot of woman and though you was hoping for a girl sounds like you will have no problem loving another son.

With my oldest son, everyone was telling me that I was going to have a girl, I kept saying that I think it will be a boy. We didn't find out until he was born and I was right. I was hoping for a boy first, but it didn't really matter. Part of the reason you might have felt a bit sad is maybe because if you had another girl it would have been even, you would have had 4 girls and 4 boys. Hope everything goes well for you, good luck!

Lillian & Diddl - This is our gorgeous little girl, with her little Diddl toy sent over from the UK!
Congratulations:) Any idea how many more you'll be having? I have to admit, i was a little sad to begin with when we found out we were having a girl, we had been hoping for a boy, not for any reason other than we already had 5 nieces in the family & a little boy would have been super. We had a little girl, she's gorgeous & a really wonderful little girl, i couldn't have asked for anything better! Good luck with 8 kids, you must be a super Mum!!!

CONGRATS! Boys are fun aren't they? I still love the name Ashton, hehehe!! Maybe i'll talk my hubby into using it, but it's doubtful, but hey he isn't here...LOL kidding. Anyways, I felt like this was sort of a girl too, but in reality I figured it must be another boy, since that's all I have!! You have a few weeks on me though, lucky :)

Hey you again =) I think you are way 2 cute!!! That would be awesome for both of us to name our babies the same! Yea I got pretty lucky to have the due date of Aug 4th which when I first found out I was pregnant was not a happy camper. I wasn't ready with having 7 in a row I really need time to heal, But I did have plans on having more in the future, anyhow with Aug I thought this was the best for me and all the kids to get back into the swing of things again before the school year starts back up =) You sound good today how are you feeling"?? Thank you so much for your Response it means a lot to me =) Your Friend Stacy

Son #5? God bless your heart and soul! It's ok to feel a little sad at the moment - I know you'll love your child anyway. I think all women secretly hope for at least one girl and all men secretly hope for at least one boy...but the truth is we really have no say in the matter. The universe will send you the special little person you NEED :)

Congratulations on your soon to be son. My sister is expecting. I think they want a girl as they have an 8 year old boy. But they will love a boy also. The boy wants a brother but he says it's okay if it's a girl.

Stacey my daughter has just had her 5th boy and she wanted to know what it was when she had the ultra sound. She was hoping for a girl but like you she had no doubt she would love it just the same. The reason she wanted to know was so that she would not be dissapointed at the birth as this is a very emotional time anyway and didn't want to have any negative feelings. She has 5 really beautiful boys and the baby is now 6 weeks old. I think it takes a special person to raise 5 boys good luck to you Nanny of 7 Patricia

Wow! So exciting I am sure and maybe a lil dissapointed? But I am sure you will love him so very much reagrardless once he has arrived and Congrats to you and your family! My fiance gary has a sister and she is 27 with 6 girls! She is so skinny and only has one daughter from a different man but the rest are from the man she is with right now and is just a big believer in children and god! which is great! She also owns her own business, I am unsure on how she even does it, but she is incredible and someone I look up to for sure! I wish you all the luck and happyness. -Lora

Congrats!! I remember when I found out I was having a little boy. I cried. I was so convinced that I was having a little girl that it was like having my dream crushed. I cried all the way home from the doctor's. Then I went shopping and startign see all those cute baby boy things. My husband wasn't happy when I came home with 3 maxed out credit cards, but I was thrilled. My sweet baby didn't get to wear everything I had bought before he outgrew it all. :)
