If you own a website it is all about the rank on any searchengine. Google being on of the biggest ones. I am looking for tips and tricks to get your google listing up. I already know about searchengine optimization in metataging. Anybody have any other good advice?

Here's a helpful suggestion, that has helped me with sales. Find message boards/forums with niches related to your site's content. Many of these boards have areas for submitting pix or small clips of your content. This can help. Another suggestion is to start a blog: wordpress and thumblogger are popular, as well as one I think is called vixen blogs. In there, talk about your site, your day to day events, and again, provide some teasers of what they can expect from your site. If you can (and I think those sites haves ways to help with that), provide RSS feeds, so that you can submit to pinging services, that are like "blog search engines." Pingomatic and feedburner are good places for this.

I think that the blog idea is a nice one, while it might be a bit time consuming, but I think it would promote the web site.

The keywords meta tag is ignored by most search engines now due to abuse from web masters in the past. You should pay attention to the title of your web page and make sure that it contains your keywords, also you should include those keywords in the description meta tag and the header (h1 tag) of your web page. Also, it generally helps to repeat those keywords at least once per paragraph and to make them bold (usins strong tag) at least once. Also, keep in mind that search engines give higher weights to words that are located at the top of the page. Besides, the most effective technique to get a better rank is to have some good web sites (sites with page ranks of 5+) link to your web site. Good luck.
