I have many different types of friends but there is one that is always wanting a favor. Not really big ones always but it seems like the only time I hear from her is when she wants something. Do you have a friend like that? How do you get them to stop? I like her and enjoy the time we spend together but I would perfer her calling me when she just wants to talk or go out for coffee.

I had a "friend" like that. I tested her friendship by doing a few things. One, I said "No" to a few of the things she asked me to help her with. Even though it wasn't anything big but I wanted to see her reaction when I said "NO" to those things. She did not react very well to that at all. All she did was sulk and pout. Two, I asked HER for a favour and see if she'll help me with it. She did not help me. Three, I constantly invite her over for playdates for our toddlers but she always finds some kind of excuse not to come. So, in the end, I just have to slowly distance myself from her. We still talk whenever we see each other but I don't consider her a good friend anymore. It's a pity cos' otherwise, she's a nice person and I enjoy her friendship. Oh well...you can't win them all, I guess.
