How can I upload pictures?

I know so far that i can't paste links untill I have a certain number of messages posted. Fine. But what about pictures? is it the same? Is it only possible to add pictures when you start a new discussion? or does it work for responses as well?

as far as i know you can only add p[ictures to other peoples discussions through your responses when you have made 500 posts blessed be
