If you're a "Dog Person", can you date a "Cat Person"?

Just trying to gauge a response on this, but I think that "cat people" can't date "dog people".
Unless you're a cat and a dog person, in which case it's cool.

I can say that I'm a dog person because I totally adore and love the 4 dogs that we have here at home and I prefer dogs more than cats, but I don't think that it matters if I were to date a cat person because my pets and his pets have nothing to do with keeping our relationship strong. I guess we'll just have problems if we get married and we'll have to figure out a way for our pets to get along with each other. But of course, that can easily be resolved with time.

You might have to have separate ceremonies for the animals, too. Like, if you get married to someone, your pets have to marry each other, too.
