What Is Your Answer?

I have a good one for you. When you hear or see those ads for all the different medications like Ambien or the heartburn meds or cold meds come on and they ask silly questions like "did you sleep through the night," do you answer them? And, what is your answer? When Theraflu talks about the cold season, do you join in their game and expect to get the flu or do you expect to stay well? I mean, really, don't all of these ads sort of give you the idea that you have to get sick at some point and that you'd better have their meds in your cabinet when you do? I've learned to say no to these ads. When one of them asks if I have a cold or what will I do when I get the flu, I've decided I'm not getting the flu and, you know what, I haven't had it since I started saying that. I quit buying all of those silly meds and quit expecting to get sick. Let's get real, the more you think about getting sick, the more likely you are to get sick. It's real easy to talk yourself into it. Especially if there's something at work or school you don't want to go in to deal with, right? Think about it. I'd like to hear what you do.

I don't get sick very often. It is rare. I don't worry about it. I also don't see myself as taking all of that medication when I get older either. My blood pressure was better than someone who works with me that is 13 years younger. I don't have a cholesterol problem. It was 12. The doctor asked me all kinds of weird questions like how often I worked out and what I ate. I told him I didn't work out and ate what ever I wanted. LOL

i never think about getting sick, and i rarely ever actually do. companies know what theyre doing when they make commercials, the whole point of the commercial is to sell you the product.
