Have you ever actually worn that Bridesmaid Dress...AGAIN?

I'm getting ready to move next month, so I have been cleaning out my room. Today I can across the red shoes and red bridesmaid dress I wore for a good friend wedding last year. To be honest, both the dress and shoes are pretty cute. Apple red and A-line cut, this dress actually looked ok on me...so I saved it. But now that I am in cleaning mode, I am wondering...Am I actually going to ever wear this dress again? I don't go to fancy parties, and I don't think I would wear it to another wedding...so I'm leaning towrds putting the dress and shoes in the donation pile (it's in great shap, only worn once). But I thoguht I would check, have any of you ever re-worn a bridesmaid dress for another occasion?

hey, in actual fact I have a real life answer to your question! one of my best friends got married a couple of years ago. She tailor made this long red dress with a boatneck and v-shaped back in shantung silk for me and the other bridesmaid. I decided to wear it again to my cousin's evening banquet. Since the two groups of guests don't overlap, no one would have seen me in that dress before. But i get what you mean abt not thinking that you'll wear such a formal dress again. I haven't worn it since my cousin's wedding. Even when i wore it then, felt a bit out of place. even though it was at a hotel, some guests came in jeans (albeit teamed with a formal flowy dressy top). But I won't bear to place it in the donation pile, cos after all it cost my friend quite a bit, and I like the dress. (:

A tailor made dress is something very special. I don't blame you for not wanting to part wit it.

The only bridesmaid dress I rewore was one that I already had to begin with. It was one from my closet type. The special ones I bought for the wedding sat in my closet till I gave it away to someone else who needed a bridesmaids dress. If you don't think you'll use it again then you probably won't.
