Is it cheating?

My wife and I have had our payout level at twenty-five dollars for quite some time now and we just changed it back to the ten dollar level, so that we can get paid before we move. Is that considered cheating?

Why would it be considered cheating? You are still posting to earn your money and a $10 payout is allowed so I don't see a problem with it.

I was just a little concerned that with dropping my payout to a lower amount to qualify for a payout, and then raising it again might be considered "cheating" somehow. I just don't think i'll hit my 25 payout this month, and we want the money to blow. :)

I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem. If it were a big deal then they wouldn't give you the option. How in the world do you all hit $25 in a month? I'm not even at $8 and i'm at over 300 posts. I'm new here so i'm still learning the tricks of the trade.

I am curious about that too. I can't imagine making 25 dollars a month here.

I can't see why it would be considered cheating? No matter the level you had you still earned it. I can't see why it should matter.

NOT at all! It is your money. You earned it. You get to decide when to get paid.

That's true. it's just stuff like that always seems fishy to me, so i hate doing things like that. Because after we get paid this time, we'll bump it back up again. I just haven't been mylotting a lot lately with all the house stuff.

No way...I had mine at $25 this month but I realized I wasn't going to make it so I changed it to $10 so I can still get a little bit of spending money. I will change it back next month so I can hopefully get over $25.

That's what we're going to do. It just feels odd. Like i should pick a payout and leave it alone until i get there. LOL maybe it's a willpower issue for me. But that's exactly what i'm doing. It's going to be a tight month for us, so every little bit helps.

Why would that be cheating? You are allowed to change your payout amounts as you wish. Cheating is usually covered under plagiarism or mass postings of small questions. Don't worry about your payout amount. It's there for you to choose, anytime, anywhere.

Do whatever feels right for you. If the administrators had an issue with it, they would send you an email or private message to discuss. However, it's your money. And, they wouldn't offer the option to change your payout level, unless they wanted you to use it. Best of luck on your move!

Thank you for the good luck offer!! And yeah, I think the administrators always notice when someone is doing something wrong. They're like mothers in that instance, eyes everywhere!

Its not cheating. Because you payout date is the same no matter what. If you reached payout for $25...then changing it to $10 doesn't really make a difference. The only difference it will make is next month, you will reach payout sooner than you would the month before.

I know. And i LOVE to reach payout. Maybe i just FEEL like a cheat b/c i'm going to be dropping and raising my payout. And I hate the feeling of not reaching my own preset goal. I'll be coming close! but I always want to surpass that goal.

No, that is NOT considered cheating. If it was considered cheating they would not offer the option. I have always had mine set at $10.00 because that is how I wanted it. I don't know why there are different levels, why everyone isn't just set to $10, but there must be a reason. You have your level where you choose to have it. You will be paid the same regardless, it will just be easier for you to reach your goal, that's all.

No of course not! Why would it be? You are posting and earning the money, and mylot allows you to take that money out once you have reached a minimum of $10. Don't worry, that is in no way cheating.

I guess I am not understanding why it would be cheating. You have the option of getting paid at $10. If I am missing something, please advise.

No, I wouldn't consider that to be cheating as we have the option to change our payout. I think that if you have earned the money and that if you want it then you should be able to get it. I have had mine set at $10 as I never think that I will be able to make more than that on here in one month. If I ever see that I do, I may change my payout so that the amount that I get is bigger, but for now I just need the money each month if I can reach the level of posts to get the payout.

Thank you, I always enjoy mylotting. I guess i just feel like a cheat because this month i'm lowering my expectations of myself a bit. It's just this is the one month out of all of them that every little extra bit helps.
