Do you know the speed of sound. What is the medium in which it travels very fast

The speed of sound depends on the medium. Sound travels slowest in gases, then liquids, then solids. This is because sound travels through the molecules of the medium, and the more closely packed they are, the faster sound can travel towards the next molecule. Solids therefore are the medium in which sound travels fastest.
