How would you judge technology in terms of its ability to offer advancement of mankind in the future vis-a-vis the importance of religion in our lives? Would religion be a beneficial component or have a negative impact in seeing the advancement of technical knowhow for humans in this universe?

Muslims pray five times a day by seeing the time which is a modern technology. Before watch was invented muslims used to see the shadow of objects and judge the time. Like this technology has been a positive change in all religons.

Why does it have to be mutually exclusive? True technology, does not interfere with a religeon, and a benefitial religeon does not interfere with technology. Some things that we espouse as scientific fact are theoretical guesses with no witness, and the same goes for religeon. Those truely concrete facts, and technological progression should be unfettered from religeon but should not condemn that religeon as well.
