My cat is a fairly recent addition to the household, she was given to us by friends who have split up and are no longer able to keep her. She's 5 years old and is mostly black, with white paws, belly and chin. Her name is Pepsi, though i call her all sorts of nick names like Kit Kat, Puddy Tat etc. She's the most softest little cat ever, she's the complete opposite of vicious and the only time she ever gets her claws out is when she is playing with her string or toy mouse. She loves being petted and having her belly rubbed, and will happily let you snuggle her and cuddle her. She likes to sleep a lot, as do most cats, especially on peoples knees! She's already taken over the house, but we don't mind becuase she's so gorgeous! She;s very fond of tuna. I love her to bits, and already my life is so much better with her in it! She make our house a proper home!

I think a cat does make a home, it is very relaxing to see a cat sleeping on the sofa or just laying about...its very peaceful...

King Tigger - my baby
my cat tigger was not a planned adoption lol. my younger sister's boyfriend's house burned to the ground and all their pets were killed except him. the mother was so upset over the mother cat, which was her baby that she didnt want to see the little guy, also they had no place to keep it for some time until a new home was found. he ended up never leaving our house. sometimes i think the smoke messed up his head lol he is moody sometimes towards everyone but me and my son. the two of them play together...its really pretty special.

I think Tigger has a good reason to be a little moody he has been through a terrible ordeal, I am so glad he has a nice home he can feel safe and secure.

Our cat is OK. He's good with our daughter but tends to be a pest when it comes to wanting to eat (constantly) and, whenever we move, we have to go through weeks of him spraying everywhere even though he's been fixed.

But the joys of your cat would out weigh the bad....I think they make you relax...just to see them curled up, its nice...

I have had my baby for ten years now. She's a turkish angora named Cuddles because she likes to cuddle at night. Pure white which can be a pain to get her furr off my black shirts. Her favorite place to sleep is in my sock drawer hehe. Lately she's become a piggy and eats constantly, she even got mad when I took her food away for a couple hours.

I have had three cats all whom found me, the only one that was real cuddly was Charlie and he was a pure white cat too, I loved that cat but he passed away suddenly, now I have stumpy a little black and white cat with just a stymp for a tail, don't know what happened there but he isn't a cuddly cat like Charlie, thank you for sharing...

Yes, cats definetly make you relax. I have a very stressful job and there is nothing like coming home to my family and one or two of the cats jump on you and make themselves comfortable. Check the photo of a few of them

I think our cat causes more stress than he relieves.

We have eight cats. One is a Sphynx (Hairless cat) who thinks he is the King of the World. Sleeps in my wifes arms every night. Three Devon Rexes which are like clowns and never sit still. They like to swing from anything that hangs from the roof. Also, we have three Persian which are beautiful and laze around from sleeeping spot to sleeping spot. Last we have a cat that I rescued in Mozambique. He must be wild because while he love to cuddle up to you he hates it when you touch him. The only exception is my son who picks him up and carries him everywhere
