Time for a Change

Some of the landscape in our front yard - The night blooming jasmine are beneath the window, with the plumeria in front of it. I'm not sure what the name of the yellow-green shrub is. The crotons are behind that, over toward the palm trees which are off to the right.

Time for a change in my avatar. My sister has some beautiful flowers in her yard (17 acres, so plenty of flowers). I came across this picture of the pansies she had planted in an old wheelbarrow in her front yard and thought I would use it for my avatar for a while. The flowers were so gorgeous that I just had to snap a picture of them when we were out there last year. Maybe I can get a picture or two of new ones when we go out there this September. Do you have flowers in your yard? If so, what kind? We have night blooming jasmine, plumeria and mainly shrubs common to South Florida in our yard right now. I really love the crotons we have planted near our palm trees.

Archer, I do love orchids. My mother-in-law sure had some beautiful ones while she was living. And my grandmother had so many beautiful roses...so many different colors. I do love flowers.

Azalea Bush - Outside my dining room window
Your avatar and the photo are very pretty. I love plants I have so many indoor and out. Ithis photo is of my azalea bush, outside my dining room window. I have had it shaped into a square not that it has stopped blooming. Photo Azalea Bush

I love azaleas, but they don't grow well in South FL. I used to have them in my yard when I lived in NW Florida, and I sure do miss them. My son has some in his yard (also camellia bushes) in GA.

That is a wonderful picture. It looks purple so that appeals to me. I have peonies in this yard. A rental now that we live in the city. Just planted tomatoes, dill and have a few other things to add. Keep the good pictures coming.

The flowers were really beautiful, and I love purple also. I wish I could plant tomatoes, dill and some other things here, but we're not allowed. When we retire and move, my "new" home will definitely contain a garden. I've had one before and miss it.

Love your new avatar. Nope...no flowers in my yard. I can't get out an about much and I never had a green thumb! I'd love flowers, but they need to be able to take care of themselves. I guess I need to plant wildflowers! LOL

Estherlou, wildflowers are beautiful. Just get someone to throw a few seeds out there for you and then enjoy.
