The last time I went back to Boracay was the first week of May this year and the experience was as expected really unforgettable. Before this year, the last time I went to Boracay was in 2002. Compared to like 5 years ago, Boracay is sprouting with so many commercial establishments. Hotels, spas, banks, "malls", "talipapas" I mean what else do you need? In an island we can call paradise, What else would you want to see in boracay?

Perhaps, I want to see a more serene boracay someday...with all its modern facilities now-a-days -- the malls, clubs, etc -- one could hardly ever relax in peace and quiet. Once there, you get carried away with activities specially in the night til the wee hours of the morning instead of having time to really slow down from a busy lifestyle. Though I know that there are resorts which could offer you relaxation but they are too expensive. I want a boracay where you can simply lay on the sand without having to worry much about the expenses and your budget.

I've gone to Boracay only once! That was in 2004 and I went because of a convention :). I'm both happy and sad that Boracay is improving. Happy because it has become a tourist magnet, what with the modern facilities that foreign and local tourists may want to find in a resort. Sad because the modernization tends to lessen the pristine beauty of the island that is Boracay. Oh well, I guess there's always a tradeoff.
